Only a little over a week to go until our Family Day at Gumbuya World – I have heard that many of the kids are super excited
(and maybe some of the parents)
To ensure the day runs smoothly there is a number of things to consider and some information the club needs to provide. So please read the information below carefully.
Ticket collection
Both free tickets, additional purchased tickets and food vouchers for players will be distributed to your Team Manager or Coach on Saturday 8th September – collection times will be advised separately. If you any questions about tickets or collection, please makes sure you direct your questions to your Team Manage or Coach.
Please note that tickets/wrist bands CAN NOT be replaced. If wristbands are lost, you will need to purchase a new full price ticket via the Gumbuya website
Meal Vouchers
Players can collect their meal at the canteen on the day by presenting their food voucher. Meals for other family members can be purchased at the canteen
Trophy Collection
Trophies will be available for collection, by Coaches & Team Managers, in the conference facility at Gumbuya World on the day from 10am
Presentation Times
If your team has decided to use the family day to present trophies and gifts, you will need to have agreed, as a team, on a time and location in the park to do this. The club is not allocating times this year, this has been left to your individual teams to decide.
While there is plenty of space in the park to pull up a piece of grass and present trophies, the conference room is available for coaches and Team Managers to book a time slot, if an indoor facility is preferred.
Team Managers & Coaches will be advised how to book these time slots if required.
Gumbuya World Entry
Please enter Gumbuya World at your leisure via the normal gates. The park is open from 10am to 4.30pm. You will need to show your wrist band to enter the park.
Club Contacts
While we hope everything will run smoothly, if you need to contact a club representative on the day, a contact list will be made available leading up to the event.
PLEASE NOTE: Please be patient and courteous when dealing with Gumbuya World team members. We will have over 600 Boldens attending the day and at times there may be queues – please be patient, especially when lining up for food.
The 10 day weather forecast is saying a cloudy 16 degrees at the moment – fingers crossed for great weather 🙂
We hope that everyone has a fantastic day
