As you are aware, Boldens Basketball made a decision to pull out of the winter season and following events over the last few days, Basketball Victoria, Aligned Leisure and PDBA have cancelled the winter competition in its entirety at Cardinia Life.

Since total cancellation of the season, we have had a few questions:
Are my winter season fees automatically refunded?
All winter fees will be rolled over to the Summer season. If you prefer a refund, please email your request to treasurer@boldensbasketball.com
Boldens Basketball can only refund the Boldens component of your fees. (There was 3 parts of your fees – Boldens, Basketball Vic and PDBA)
If you require a refund for your Basketball Victoria licence fee (player registration), please advise in your refund request and we will place a request for your refund – see conditions under point below.
Note: Please allow up to 14 days to receive your Boldens Refund. As our treasurer, Dorothy, is very busy with her paid job being end of financial year.
Basketball Victoria licence fee (player fee)
Generally speaking, BV’s licence fee is not refundable, as per the terms of registration and they are extending the licences as per below. However, BV can consider requests for refunds in certain cases. We are obviously in a unique situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and BV understands any significant economic or health related impact.
If you require a refund for the BV licence fee, please advise us in your request to the club,
The process/conditions for individual refunds are as follows:
Refund requests need to come through the association – PDBA (as per the correct communication channel)
The player needs to have played fewer than 3 games
Player’s registration to the season in question needs to be marked as cancelled
A valid reason needs to be provided
BV needs confirmation in writing that the association and/or club has refunded any fees that were paid to them before BV considers the request for refund of the BV licence fee
Bank details provided for an approved refund to be processed
Basketball Victoria player fee
BV have advised they will be extending the BV licence (player registration) by the length of the Government shutdown so players are not disadvantaged. At present the extension is for 5 months but this will be reviewed as we get towards the end of the current lockdown period
Am I guaranteed to play with my 2019/20 Summer team in the Summer 2020/21 season?
We always endeavor to keep teams together, that wish to remain together, it will depend on registration numbers for the upcoming summer season
Can I get a refund for my uniform?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund on uniforms that are currently on order.
